There are many factors affecting the cooling of precision injection molds, such as the design of the shape and parting surface of plastic parts, the variety, temperature and flow rate of cooling medium, the geometric parameters and spatial arrangement of cooling pipes, melt temperature, the ejection temperature and mold temperature of plastic parts, the thermal cycle interaction between plastic parts and molds, and so on.

Low precision injection mold temperature can reduce the molding shrinkage of plastic parts, mold temperature average, short cooling time, fast injection speed can reduce the warping deformation of plastic parts, about crystalline polymer, mold temperature progress can make plastic parts dimensional stability, to prevent post crystallization phenomenon, but will lead to the molding cycle extension and plastic parts brittle defects.

As the crystallinity of the crystalline polymer advances, the stress cracking resistance of the plastic decreases, so it is advantageous to reduce the temperature of the precision injection mold. But the amorphous polymer with high viscosity, because of its resistance to cracking is directly related to the internal stress of the plastic parts, it is beneficial to reduce the temperature and filling speed of the precision injection mold.

Reducing the temperature of the precision injection mold can improve the appearance quality of the plastic parts. The mold temperature directly affects the filling of plastic, the shaping of plastic parts, the molding cycle and the quality of plastic parts, and the mold temperature depends on the crystallization of plastic, the size and structure of plastic parts, the performance of the request and other process conditions such as melt temperature, injection speed, injection pressure and molding cycle.
